Created on Monday, 14 December 2015

At the beginning of November the COncORDE consortium participated at the 3rd Panhellenic Symposium: Crisis Management in Healthcare, which was held in Athens, Greece, from 13th to 15th November 2015.

The COncORDE project was represented by project coordinators Toni Staykova and Takis Kotis (Cambridge University Hospitals), who gave an introduction into the COncORDE project, focusing on the challenges currently facing emergency health care and the way COncORDE will address these challenges by establishing a patient-centred pan-European platform for emergency health care professionals, which will help to optimise coordination efforts and enhance interoperability.

The event, organised by the Greek Society for Crisis Management in the Health Sector, aimed to present all current data and discussions on topics related to emergency response in the health sector. The event was attended by more than 100 people. Notable stakeholders present at the event included the Hellenic Health Emergency Agency, the Hellenic National Ambulance, the Hellenic National Coast Guard, the Hellenic Ministry of Health, as well as the international organisation Doctors of the World.
