COncORDE Project to Be Presented at EENA Conference 2015

Created on Monday, 09 March 2015

At the basis of the COncORDE project is the premise that it is essential for EU Member States to unite in their efforts to effectively prepare and respond to mass casualty incidents, especially now when the threat is bigger than ever before. The project is thus directly linked to the work of the European Emergency Number Association (EENA). From 22nd to 24th April, when EENA will host its yearly Conference, this time in Bucharest, Romania, the COncORDE project team will be there to introduce the project.

Alongside the Conference, there will also be an exhibition area, where latest technologies and solutions, as well as some European projects, will be exhibited. ConcORDE is the first European project to be named as participating in the Conference this year.

The COncORDE project aims to provide a tool that can be used in all Member States, irrespective of their local differences, to achieve an EU-wide impact in improving coordination of emergency medical response. A web-based platform will be developed to support and enhance the existing decision process during medical emergencies at local, regional and cross-border level. The platform will improve the operational information flow within the emergency medical services, as well as the communication and coordination between people requiring medical help, the responders and the community. More information about the Conference is available on the EENA website, here.
